The experience is planned to debut in August 2026. The first bookable date will be confirmed closer to opening.
A normal setup keeps most content at the front of the room. The new canvas extends imagery around the Ballroom, so the atmosphere can change throughout the event.
It is a wraparound LED experience. The main proscenium arch will remain, and the final coverage map will be included in the technical factsheet.
The venue will take on a fresh new look with the introduction of immersive LED technology. While the space will feel more modern and dynamic, it will continue to offer the premium experience, elegance and attention to detail. A digital recreation of the original wall can also be shown when a classic Ballroom look is preferred.
The experience is designed for conferences, keynote presentations, product launches, brand activations, gala dinners, awards nights, weddings, private celebrations, exhibitions and themed events.
A standard presentation can remain the main focus while the wider canvas carries event branding, product imagery, data, sponsor content or a changing visual theme.
Couples and families can use photographs, films and personal messages to tell a story around the room. The canvas can also create cultural, destination-inspired or themed settings.
Yes. Visual scenes can change between sessions, courses, award moments or parts of a celebration, without rebuilding the room.
Yes. Standard 16:9 presentation content is intended to be supported within a wider animated or scenic background.
Yes. Existing videos, logos, sponsor branding and photographs can be included, subject to file quality, permissions and final playback requirements. Please contact Microhire for the technical specifications, including LED refresh rate details.

Yes. Brand worlds, product visuals, destination scenes and personal stories can be developed for the wider canvas, subject to content rights, production time and technical suitability.
The supplier process is being finalised. Park Hyatt Melbourne and Microhire will confirm the workflow, file specifications, safe zones, approval steps and deadlines for each event. Bespoke content will need more planning time than standard presentations.
Final room layouts, capacities and staging guidance are being confirmed. Each event setup will be reviewed against sightlines, access, rigging and guest flow.
These options are being assessed as part of the final production setup. Exact capabilities, including captions, polls and quizzes, will depend on the platform and level of technical integration required.
This is part of the intended show experience. The final audio, lighting and show-control options will be confirmed after system testing.
The intention is yes. Recommended camera settings and filming guidance will be issued after the screen has been commissioned and tested.
The event-day support model, rehearsal time, file deadlines and rules for on-site changes are being finalised. These will be clearly shown in each proposal.
Backup systems, fallback content and the technical response plan are being finalised as part of commissioning.
Heat output has been considered in the design, including the Ballroom's air-conditioning capacity, so guest comfort can be maintained.
Content will use stable imagery and carefully controlled movement. Brightness, motion and accessibility needs should be discussed early so the experience can be planned for the audience.
The Park Hyatt Melbourne events team will help shape the event, supported by Microhire and any agreed creative partners. The aim is to make the planning clear and the event-day experience seamless.
Bring the event objective, audience, draft run sheet, preferred room setup, brand guidelines, presentation files, logos, imagery, music ideas and any accessibility needs.
Venue hire, LED use, templates, bespoke content, operators, rehearsals and overtime may be priced separately or packaged together. Final inclusions and pricing are being confirmed.
Clients should hold or obtain the rights for all supplied images, video, music, logos and other materials, unless another arrangement is agreed in writing.
